Prince of Persia Movie Review

Prince of Persia is trying so hard to be the new Pirates, but its just trying too hard! The action bits are good when they happen, but there seems to be an awful lot of trudging around "the vast Persian empire". Jake Gyllenhaal is pretty good as the Prince, but everyone seems to have forced British accents. The whole film seems to flow nicely, but by the end just feels very average and the general feeling was a sigh and a meh!

After 70 years of old beach hut, today it was replaced with a shiny new one!

Iron Man 2 Movie Review

After the first Iron Man movie surprised us a couple of years ago, we didn't want to get our hopes up too much in case they couldn't pull it off twice. However they did! There still seemed to be a bit of trudging around and yet more re-inventing of the Ironman suit, Ironman copies and 2 versions of Whiplash's suit, which we're not sure why they think its interesting to watch things being tinkered with, but the rest of the film delivers. Great action in Monaco, nice undelying rivalry between Stark and Hammer, theft of an Iron Man suit and ending in a great showdown shoot out.

Elliot's Christening

The little man is getting christened today at St. Mark's church, looking very posh in his waistcoat. Barry is one of the godfathers along with Carol's brothers and wife. During the renouncing of evil one of the 3 babies started screaming (not Elliot), was it possessed? ;-)
