Darkest Hour 3D Film Review

A couple of annoying Americans travel to Moscow to sell a $10 million social network idea to a Russian company, despite only 56 people using it, and while they are clubbing it up an alien invasion hits Earth and wipes out most inhabitants. The twist here is that we can't see the aliens, but they do activate anything electrical accompanied by a loud humming. This is quite a novel twist and keeps the tension up during the movie. However I was completely annoyed by all the characters and just wanted them to die, which sort of ruined the film as you didn't care either way! Despite everything being wiped out and destroyed they head for the American embassy, because aliens wouldn't have attacked that at all would they? Once they find out that the aliens are terrorists and have destroyed the embassy they aim to regroup with other survivors at a Russian sub. So this is a basic cat 'n mouse game with the aliens. The 3D was also completely pointless, and I almost forgot I was watching a 3D film. Entertaining, but a more likeable cast would have been appreciated.
